Claudio uses a Telecaster- American / American Deluxe? on "The Afterman." It has a silver finish and a rosewood neck. Saw it on AXS TV when they aired the show live from Ogden Theatre. Also He was playing a Martin acoustic for "Wake Up" and had a capo on the 4th fret.

I found it interesting that during the glastonbury performance during the 2010 tour-- claudio is seen using the Diezel Herbert turned backwards. Travis' electra dyne head is also turned away from the crowd. You can see two Orange OR50's and the Bogner stacked facing the side fills as well. This is more than likely due to endorsement issues. Interesting though, because there is no other evidence of Coheed using Diezel amps. youtu.be/Ye4fCAqifV0 In this video you can clearly make out the signature Diezel cutouts on the rear grill of the head.

Both Claudio and Travis are using the Axe FX ultras live and Claudio is also playing a baritone explorer for sentry the defiant. I believe Claudio is using a slash wah as well. I couldn't get a super good look but I am confident it was.

They (Travis/Claudio) both use DR strings - In an interview with GUitar Player he mentions that he ones he uses are custom guage (Heavy bottom/Light Top) and he doesn't know what the exact guages are...Not much help I know :s...On a sidenote, I've played B-52's and they're awwwweeeesome strings.

Just FYI, a lot of this is inaccurate.

Claudio now plays three amps: a Bogner Uberschall, an Orange OR-50 Anniversary Series, and a Fender Twin Reverb.

His guitars are a 1980 E/2 in natural brown, a black 76' reissue Explorer with a doorknocker and a Bigsby, and EMGs, and a stock heritage cherry explorer. He has since retired his white explorer.

I saw Coheed last night (9-2-2010). The rig listing is accurate. Claudio only used Explorers last night. He had one orange cab and one black cab (bogner) on stage. He was using the Bogner head and the
Orange head. They were sitting on top of a combo amp that was facing the guitar tech. From the 3rd row I could see the MM4 and DL4 on top of the cabs, but couldn't get a good luck at much else.

I'm honestly suprised no one's updated his rig yet - or I'm just THAT big of a geek that I care to update it :-)

According to last months Guitar Player magazine interview he's using/used the following gear.

-MXR-118 analog delay
-The Great Destroyer by Dwarfcraft
-Interstellar OD by Death by Audio
-Custom DR's (heavy bottom, lighter top)
-DR DDT's
-.73 Dunlop picks

and it says he recently purchased a 1981 Ibanez Musician

let the boutique pedal buying begin :-)

I saw Coheed at the 9:30 club last night and was right on the rail and Claudio has a Voodoo Lab effects controller and seemed to have the pedals on a board on top of his cab behing him. He also had a white explorer with a picture of scarface on it and "Gangsta" written on the body, and an explorer with a door knocker and a bigsby tailpiece.

Claudio has officially answered who the stencil on his White Explorer is. He stated that a few years back he made a stencil for his father that said "Gangsta" under it. He also stated that at various family get together's the stencil would pop up at random in one way or another. He then clarified the statement saying something along the lines of "So Yeah, the stencil is of my father."

The Theremin he used is a Moog Etherwave Theremin. I'm not sure if he used any effects for the theremin. during The Final Cut, him and Keyboardist Wes Styles switch on and off playing the theremin. I don't know if Wes Styles uses the same theremin.

In the final cut solo from the neverender dvd claudio uses a nasty wah sound that sounds kind of like porn music. Was that from the dunlop crybaby or the other wah pedal i saw up there.

also if you guys have a practice amp and an explorer i suggest the vox saturator. I play this through my roland cube 20x combo. I can get any tone with that setup. My gibson explorer standard, roland amp, saturator.

Another guitar your missing is his custom white Medusa, with the crazy inlays and the Keywork in the headstock. I think he first used it in the Neverender tour, maybe a few shows before that.

I just recently saw Neverender (coheeds new DVD) and claudio was using this wierd synth (I think) that was a black box with a metal bar going up at a 90 degree angle and it was about 18 inches long coming out of one end. and on the other there was a kind of metal loop.. it made the craziest most UFO like sound and was motion sensor controlled (from what I could tell).. can someone please tell me what this is?!?! it's on the song 'the final cut' thanks!!

He has that red Minarik Medusa but he has a custom white Medusa know with the Coheed and Cambria logo on the headstock and a Custom neck. A very beautiful guitar.

Last time I saw them live claudio was using this pedal board (or at least 90%) With a Bogner Uberschall head, Mesa quad and EMG'd Explorers.

Might I add that it was one of the best live guitar tones I've ever heard. So clear and precise. I usually hate EMGs so I'm putting it down to the Uberschall and his fingers.
