Anyone know what his specific setup/rig was during the "Toys in the Attic" era? Particularly for "Sweet Emotion."
Appreciate the help, thanks

@Payton Piglia

Joe instead use a heavy gauge for the low E string. And the rest in .10. For "Draw The Line" its in open A tuning (E A E A C# E)
BUT!
He tunes the low E down to A for that sound.
he travels with 2 Dan Armstrong Plexi's:
1 for open A (Draw the Line, Cheese Cake, Etc.)

And another for open G
(Let the Music do the Talking, Shaking my Cage, Etc.)
Hope this helps.

I have heard that Joe uses a bass string as a replacement 4 the A string on his Plexiglass guitar...I was wondering what gauge and/or brand that bass string is...please reply

You missed the Klon Centaur then. That is what he is using for overdrive

I was shocked to not see some sort or blues overdrive pedal in Joe's arsenal, like a modded Ibanez TS808, TS9, BBE Green Screamer, BOSS Blues Driver, etc. I'm sure he must use something along those lines.

in a recent (sort of recent) issue of (i think it was) guitar world magazine, joe perry's pedalboard had a few new additions. from what i remember (i know there were about 2 more pedals that weren't named here that i cant remember, if i can find the magazine, ill update my post): he has a customized CAE/Bradshaw fuzz pedal that mick mars gave to him, a POG that he and his son modded, and the few other pedals that i forgot (i cant remember if there was a talkbox on there or something weird/expression-like pedal)
