I don't think of it as hijacking. Don't worry about it.

Those Rev Jr.s look awesome! I'll have to look into those. Thanks for the suggestion!

you might also want to try out some of the smaller crate tube amps (not very high gain, but they do sound good). depending on your budget, you could also consider the genz benz el diablo series (perfect for just about every style of music and guitar you can throw at it!)

Alright, cool. I plan to keep my budget from $400-$700 if possible. I haven't heard much from Benz, but a local technical metalcore band at my high school uses Crate amps, so I'll talk to them about that.

i have a crate 120 watt 212, it's pretty sweet. plenty of distortion, but not as tight as i would like. but for the price it's amazing (and it can get pretty loud). un fortunatly, the genz benz wil probably be a little out of your price range (combos starting at 1100). if you want a nice tube amp, check out the peavey valvekings and crate blue voodoos (unfortunatly, the only BV you can get anymore is the 120 which is lacking the 150 and 300's ultra high gain channel, but it's still pretty sweet).

I've been looking at the Peavey Valvekings, but they're always on backorder on musiciansfriend (which is where I get a lot of my equipment from). But if all else fails I'll try to get that Randall tube amp or one of the ones you listed.
