Seen the new Optimist Cory Wong Overdrive pedal? This thing looks killa! It blends Klon- and Timmy-style circuits with MIDI control and a three-band EQ!!!!

I am the guitarist in my own emo/grunge band

www.myspace.com/selfinflictedheartbreak

Here is the gear I use to get a melodic and hardcore sound:
VOX Tonelab ST
Fender Tom Delonge Stratocaster
Squier Standard Stratocaster with Seymour Duncan Hot Rails pickup in bridge

I use the following amp and effects models:
Marshall JCM-800
Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier (on harder songs)
Delay
Tape Echo
Flanger
Classic Chorus
Tremolo
Tubescreamer (Ibanez TS9)
Spring Reverb

For most songs I only use the JCM-800 with a small amount of delay and reverb. My settings are:
Bass 4 Mid 5 Treble 7 for lead
Bass 5 Mid 7 Treble 5 for rhythm
