Just caught their 2nd show in Camden...surreal. Anybody know what's up with the 2-pickup strat that Dave's been playing?

Dave uses a fender hot rod deluxe at live shows. He splits the signal to the sound booth where the fender is to get a bit of overdrive from the amp he then runs the signal through the PA.

I'm almost certain Dave uses slightly heavier strings when playing his Martins with Tim Reynolds in the acoustic duo shows. This is in order to achieve a bit fuller and bassier sound, as opposed to his brighter sound that he needs to cut through the mix with the full band. He also uses Countryman DI's, and all of his acoustics currently being used onstage are equipped with Fishman UST pick-ups. He also uses Eventide Harmonizers with the full band.
