Joe's also been using an olympic white Telecaster some lately.

True, in the Vieilles Charrues Festival 2010, he used a telecaster on Oroborus.
In a recording clip, you can see him using one for that song specifically. Maybe it sounds good for the tapping?

Does anyone know if this is his studio equipment, live equipment, or a combination of both? It appears to be a pretty cool list.

the way of all flesh was actually recorded with the peavey 5150's. the EVH's came in later, and they have now exclusively been using them. i saw them live in orlando a few days ago and they killlllled.

Actually they recorded The Way of All Flesh with the EVH 5150IIIs as you can see in pictures of their recording sessions. They also used Jackson Soloists with SD JB and 59s, and Jackson Randy Rhoads with the same pickups.

Gojira is now sponsored by EVH. This is the ONLY reason they have been using that gear here in the states for touring. If you look at older touring videos from europe they were ALWAYS seen using Dual Rectifiers with Marshall cabs. All their albums up to this point were also mainly recorded with that set up. Doesn't mean you can't get close to their sound with EVH, obviously they do.

I've always been compared to Gojira, tone-wise, with my 6505+. Now it looks like I know why, he uses the same picks, amp/cab, and tuning I do. :o
