He used än Ibanez RGD and an Ibanez Halberd at Metaltown in Sweden. He also used another Ibanez with a very thin neck when playing This War Is Ours, don't know which model though.

I wouldn't doubt the 7-string. Some of their new songs are in Drop A (A-E-A-D-F#-Bb)

actually, if you pause the vid at 0:40, you can see that it's a 7string (count the tuners)
so he probably has a custom now

brian used esp for the majority of warped tour 07

www.youtube.com/watch?v=mx21KwYSI60

as you can see that is clearly an ltd ex-400 in black,

and also he uses stock pickups in all of his guitars except for one les paul he uses in the studio which has a set of emg's 85+81

it said so in a fairly recent (within the past year) copy of total guitar (uk magazine)

Anyways, does it say the tuning he uses? I've seen back and forth on tab sites saying they play in either Drop C or Drop Db

It shows that his tuning is Drop C (C, G, C, F, A, D)

Guitar World Dec 2008 has his rig, which includes strings.

I have that issue, and I can't find any mention of him or his rig anywhere in the issue. if you're referring to the rig rundown in the back of the magazine, it's of Yngwie Malmsteen

Guitar World Dec 2008 has his rig, which includes strings. But more generally, we will do research, which means we may contact the musician for an interview, we may read interviews/articles, look at pictures, talk to eyewitnesses, etc... Even the ernie ball site shows that escape is endorsed, etc... Often it takes lots of work to compile a rig, but it helps everyone who visits the site, to build their rig :-)
