Mike Mushok is the lead guitarist for the hard rock/post-grunge band Staind , fronted by well known singer Aaron Lewis. Mike Mushok is well known for his use of baritone guitars and odd tunings.

Honestly, the scale length isn't really strong enough on normal guitars to handle the string gauge.

The Zakk Wylde set GHS used to make went to .72 I think, and on my Les Paul, it was a pain trying to keep it from sounding flubby.
