Who Plays What - Who Plays What
Monday, 24 September 2007 08:13

Dave Mustaine is the lead/rhythm guitarist, songwriter, and singer for the speed/thrash metal band, Megadeth. As the central figure of Megadeth and a former Metallica lead guitarist and co-songwriter, he is one of a handful of people considered to have pioneered thrash metal and speed metal.

Let's look at what gear and equipment has been seen in Megadeath's Dave Mustaine's Guitar Rig.

a sort of update: Chris Broderick has ditched the Digitech GSP1101 and is now using the AxeFX - not sure if Dave will follow suit... it seems Chris is more of a gearhead than Dave, as least from a technical aspect.

the Line 6 thing is this: Dave had a friend who had an old Marshall amp head that sounded amazing... and we know back in the day, they all sounded different! *facepalm* I think he tried to buy it, but the guy wouldn't sell - and so he basically had Line 6 clone it. Of course, it could do more than just a Marshall tone, but that's the TRUE story.
