I noticed that brian uses an MXR blue box octave on one of their videos on youtube its the only one thats sort of obvious
Robert  - MXR Blue Box   |2010-04-22 10:35:51
Hi Evan!
yeah you´re right, but its actually Stefan Olsdal who has it on his pedalboard...
Peter  - Days before you came   |2010-02-16 12:25:53
Hi! I'd like to know the guitar pedal effects (which distortion) that placebo use on "Days before you came"..
So if anyone knows please drop me a message, thanks in advance!
Nick  - big muff   |2010-01-16 20:18:39
During what time period/albums was he using the Russian Big Muff?
Robert  - Meds and Battle for the Sun Pedals   |2009-08-21 05:30:46
These are the correct Pedals he used on the Meds and the recent Battle for the Sun tour

Meds Tour:

# Boss TU-2 Tuner
# MXR Phase 90
# MXR Distortion +
# Electro-Harmonix Hot Tubes
# Electro-Harmonix
English Muff'n
# Boss DD-3 Digital Delay
# Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb

Battle for the Sun Tour:

The center is his Tonebone Loop Station, there are 2 Effect Loops

Loop 1:
# Electro-Harmonix
Hot Tubes
# Boss TU-2 Tuner
# Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb
# MXR Phase 90
# Boss DD-3 Digital Delay

Loop 2:
# Electro-Harmonix Hot Tubes
# MXR Distortion +
# MG Mono Vibe
# Electro-Harmonix #1
Echo

And I forgot to mention the cream Gibson Les Paul custom...

Recent tours has seen Molko use a Steinberg headless guitar (hss configuration) for performing the cover of 'Wouldn't it be good'.
In addition to Robert's comment, Moloko's faded white cyclone has
been modified to include a humbucker-sized p90 pickup at the bridge. Its covered in girly stickers too.
Robert  - another correction   |2009-08-09 11:29:56
Well, I don´t know where you got your information from but I guess you confound 2 pedals:
Brian never used an EHX Germanium overdrive...instead he has a EHX #1 Echo Pedal on his pedalboard! They´re
looking quite similar from far away :-)
Robert  - correction   |2009-08-06 08:08:24
he´s NOT using flanger, metalzone, big muff, line selector and os-2 anymore...

Recently he got some new guitars for the 2009 tour:
Fender Toronado
Fender Cyclone
