Foo Fighters - Chris Shiflett Guitar Gear Rig and Equipment E-mail

Chris Shiflett is the lead guitarist for the rock band Foo Fighters. Shiflett joined the band after the release of their third album, There Is Nothing Left to Lose. Before joining the Foo Fighters, Shiflett was the lead guitarist for the energetic and well-known Bay Area punk rock band No Use for a Name.

Let's look at some of the gear and equipment that has been seen in Shiftlett's guitar rig.

he still uses the dd-3 in his live rig
Anonymous   |2010-02-06 22:13:19
he uses a Savage Blitz 50W 2x12 combo for clean sounds
grardnr   |2010-02-09 03:24:08
I think they're just using the mesa roadkings live, those things can do pretty much anything anyway.
Anonymous   |2009-04-25 22:26:49
and i forgot he also uses a lehle dual amp switcher

Aren't we forgetting about his ProCo Rat???
He uses that distortion unit...
Zach  - guitar   |2008-12-11 18:59:06
hey umm i think that the telecaster he uses is a nashville power telecaster. black with a maple fretboard.
DB  - Something's WRONG.   |2008-10-02 08:17:23
Umm... There's a slight mistake. He doesn't use MXR or Line6. He also has a few Boss pedals, a ProCo Rat II, and a crybaby wah. Here's the order of the rig:
Boss TU-2 Tuner-> Boss DD-3 Digital
Delay->
Boss BF-2 Flanger-> ProCo Rat II-> Dunlop Crybaby Wah-> Boss CH-1 Super Chorus-> Whirlwind A/B Selector.
He also uses a Savage 2x12 combo.
His Gretsches have pinned-down bridges instead of
the stocked ones.
He uses a Gretsch 1959 Nashville.
I've got my connections...

Actually, he has used the mxr and Line 6 gear. Check out this article with guitarplayer from 2005: http://www.guitarplayer.com/article/chris-shiflett-on/Mar-05/2308

Thanks for the info. It looks
exactly like what guitargeek has though from 2000, which makes it older info. Can you give us your sources so we can verify and update the page if it is in fact newer info? Thanks!
