Ken Susi listed on a Splawn amplification myspace as a user!
Saw him 3 weeks ago playing Splawn Nitro amp
Fellowcfh  - They also use   |2010-03-15 12:25:18
Ibanez 8 strings as well! They said they used them on some songs while recording (The March)
Fellowcfh  - Ken (and Buzz's as well) amp set up   |2010-03-15 11:37:22
As of sat march 13 I was talking to Ken and Buzz backstage and asked them about their live set up both said "we've been looking for a nice perfect cab and once we found the Mesa cabs worked well
with the EVH 5150 III heads we found what we were looking for!" I asked both about VHT amps and cabs and both said it was a phase they were going through and didn't like them after awhile. They
don't use the Peaveys live anymore as well.

Buz Mcgrath (Unearth's other guitarist) says in an interview for EMGtv on youtube (Look it up if you like) that for the new album "The March" they both used Framus Cobra heads, with Mesa
cabinets. He says they used that on the tour as well.

Regarding the listing on the Voodoo Amps website. Ken previously used a Deluxe-modded Peavey 5150 head from Voodoo, along with their CP-100 model amp (which was rebuilt from an old Marshall 2210
chassis). At one time, Buzz also used a Voodoo CP-100 as well. This was before the VHT amps came into play.

i saw and talked to ken susi when they came through sacramento june 14th and he was just trying the EVH heads out, they really belong to one of the guitarists to Lazarus AD
Randy  - Ken & Buz amps   |2009-06-04 10:56:48
Just saw Unearth in San Antonio last night on 6/3/09 (awesome show) and both Ken & Buz were using EVH 5150 heads (white cover). Ken was running through 2 matching EVH cabs and Buz through a Peavey
6505 cab and a Peavey XXL cab (I think it was an XXL). Godly tone BTW
richard   |2008-12-15 01:25:11
oh he uses vht and marshall amps during recording the new album . its on the new unearth dvd
richard  - kens guitars   |2008-12-15 01:23:24
yea all his new ibanez guitars sit behind his rig, most of them have the single bridge pickup.
richard  - kens rig   |2008-12-01 12:47:49
yea i just went also to see unearth in charleston and he used mesa boogie amps recifiers and the new grey mesa cabs with his orange seven string reverse headstock,
uberpro  - thanks   |2008-12-01 13:01:33
Thanks richard. It is eye witness accounts like yours that keep us all informed up to the minute. I added a note to the article about Ken using Mesa gear. I wonder if he is still using VHT at all...
ittoa666   |2008-11-21 23:03:34
I saw unearth live recently, and ken used a road flare red rg550 seven string and a white universe with just a bridge pickup.
