The Killers - Dave Keuning Guitar Gear Rig and Equipment E-mail

David Keuning is the guitarist for the American rock band The Killers. In 2000 Dave moved to Las Vegas because he felt he was missing out on great shows while living in Iowa. He worked at The Venetian for a while before finally starting the band The Killers. Good thing for us music heads that he did!

Let's look at some of the gear and equipment that has been seen in The Killers guitar player Dave Keuning's Guitar Rig.

what pedals does he use on Mr Brightside? I really want it :/
blp   |2010-08-07 01:00:50
brightside (live) is both deville's gain channel "red" setting w/ the hiwatt(dry) and on the chorus we add a tube screamer, his rhythm 'blue" led keeley ts9. on the record, thats just how
its eq'd and whatever guitar he used.
blp  - brightside, my list , T.I.U.L. -- Live versions...   |2010-08-07 01:06:38
brightside..... "red" gain ch both devilles and dg103(dry) w/ a "blue" mod ts9 in the chorus sections

my list...big muff on the outro

tiul....od2 ? "red" gain on the
devilles w/ "blue" ts9 until the "chicks/percussive" chugs(od1 devilles) then pre chorus clean ch part.

his "A" and "B" rigs DO NO contain the ibanez anaolg chorus, chorus ensemble or the EQ pedal. the ad99 and ac99 are both keeley modded. the wah, if we use a pedalboard that has one
on it(one pedalboard is the midi controller and the 2nd is angled w/ tuner, vol pedal and some have wahs), is a std classic dunlop that is keeley modded w/ a large LED in the lower left corner so he
can see it clearly.

the ts9's are one 'blue" and one "white' LED keeley models. the big muff models vary, but all are keeley modded.

the DG103 drives a straight hiwatt cab, miked forward
facing with the main and spare head in a rack behind the set cart. the devilles run all the fx.....only one has the whammy for the octave effect and are rear facing and miked w/ their 2nd spkr outs
hitting the other two forward facing hiwatt cabs and ARE NOT miked.

muff: river(riffs), tranquilize(intro), neon tiger(outro solo).

Fake Name  - Pedals   |2010-01-24 23:13:07
Dave has said himself that he uses only boss pedals to keep them a consistency in the pedals (height, etc).
Ad keuning  - interesting   |2010-01-25 09:57:25

that appears to be whats on daves pedalboard at the moment or atleast around the time day & age came out
blp   |2010-02-24 17:10:25
....it was modified shortly after the first one was built. lost the demeter acoustic preamp, added a classical guitar fishman aura, added the trex room-mate, and a keeley mod trem.
