Mick Mars is the lead guitarist for heavy metal/glam metal band Mötley Crüe.

Of recent interest, Mick Mars has recently contributed his songwriting talents to the Swedish "sleaze rock" band CRASHDÏET.

Let's look at what gear and equipment has been seen in Motley Crue's Mick Mars' Guitar Rig.

Mick uses a variety of Ernie Ball string. He uses .009's, .010's, and .011's depending on the song. That is direct quote from him in a guitar mag interview.
Todd   |2010-03-18 14:11:28
He does not use a Rocktron All Access controller...he uses one of the older Bradshaw/Rocktron RSB-18 foot controllers. Also uses an older Rocktron Hush IIC rack unit, not a Super C HUSH. No Rocktron
Patchmate either.

Mick uses 011 - 048 gauge strings, and the Crüe tunes everything down a whole step. He's been playing strats because they're versatile and also because they're lightweight, which is less harmful to
his back. Vox McCoys are for the studio only; Live he goes for Dunlop Crybabies.
