Tommy Lee has done a lot of things. He's played drums with one of the best know hair bands, Motley Crue. He's had hollywood's hot babes including Pamela Anderson and Heather Locklear. He's had a reality tv show, an adult movie, a book, and much more (we'll forget about Rockstar Supernova?). In addition to all this stuff he's had many different drum equipment setups over the years. We'll profile one of his more recent drum kit setups.

Let's look at what drum gear and equipment has been seen in Tommy Lee's Drum Kit.

First let's look at a diagram of Tommy's setup. This was from an awesome forum over at Drummer's World , administered by Tommy's Drum Tech.

Start w/ about 10 grand and you can get a decent bearing on this kit. Once you start getting into tommy's sampling and electronics you'll be pushing close to the 20,000$ mark. now, of
course, thats from the store and new. hunt around. you can build insanely awesome kits for a lot less. i dig tommy though. and he's definitly been a large influence. this kit in particular i got
to find out a lot about behind the scenes...

How Much Does It Take To Set Up A Kit Like This?
Daniel Watt  - Question for ya   |2008-06-14 20:25:25
Hi this is Daniel Watt from Alberta Canada and iam a pretty big fan of tommy lee and dw drums. I have an opportunity to buy this same kit from a guy in toronto canada. He says its the same set up as
tommy's kit that he bought at some auction. The kit is from 1999 and is black. How much do u think this kit is really valued at.
